Ferrite Nanoparticles as Catalysts in Organic Reactions: A Mini Review
نویسندگان
چکیده
Ferrites have excellent magnetic, electric, and optical properties that make them an indispensable choice of material for a plethora applications, such as in various biomedical fields, magneto–optical displays, rechargeable lithium batteries, microwave devices, internet technology, transformer cores, humidity sensors, high-frequency media, magnetic recordings, solar energy fluids. Recently, magnetically recoverable nanocatalysts are one the most prominent fields research they can act both homogeneous heterogenous catalysts. Nano-ferrites provide large surface area organic groups to anchor, increase product decrease reaction time, providing cost-effective method transformation. Various reactions were reported, photocatalytic decomposition different dye, alkylation, dehydrogenation, oxidation, C–C coupling, etc., with nano-ferrites catalyst. Metal-doped ferrites Co, Ni, Mn, Cu, Zn, along metal doped Cr, Cd, Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, or lanthanides modified silica titania, used catalysts reactions. Metal (MFe2O4) Lewis acid electrophilicity specific reactants by accepting electrons order form covalent bonds. Ferrite easily applying external field their reuse without significantly losing catalytic activities. The use transformations reduces catalyst overloading and, at same harmful solvents production poisonous byproducts, hence, serving green chemical synthesis. This review provides insight into application transformations.

متن کاملZinc ferrite nanoparticles as MRI contrast agentsw
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a powerful clinical imaging technique for the non-invasive diagnosis and posttherapy assessment of a variety of diseases. MRI contrast can be enhanced by the use of positive or negative contrast agents resulting in brighter (T1-weighted) or darker (T2-weighted) images, respectively. Superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) nanoparticles are T2 contrast agents that...

There is a high prevalence of infections caused by Leishmania parasites and increasing rate of drug resistance. Lack of successful treatment with existing drugs calls for new therapeutic approaches. The main strategy in treatment of leishmaniasis is creating apoptosis and eliminating different forms of the parasite. So far, numerous drugs with specific mechanisms including 14-α-demethylase enzy...
